Position:
Quality Manager Dexter Axle, Inc.
seeks a full-time Quality Manager in Seagoville, TX to be responsible for administering and building upon the established quality systems (ISO 9001:
2015) and quality culture.
Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues.
Develop and implement required quality documents.
Perform regular process audits.
Drive root cause and corrective actions.
Own and lead the quality process.
Work with Engineering and Production to address any internal quality concerns and corrective actions.
Prioritize quality improvement activities.
Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies.
Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system.
Develop performance improvement targets for quality.
Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback.
Perform statistical analysis and data analysis.
Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records.
Participate in quality audits.
Demonstrate hands on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in productive team environment.
Develop reports of product conformance.
Manage customer complaints and provide 8D answers.
Provide development and implementation work instruction.
Implement Gage-track software.
Implement continuous improvement and scrap reduction projects.
Develop new projects in coordination with Engineering department.
Develop PPAP and control plan.
Create training programs and management training matrix.
Develop and implement Stress Shot peen Procedure, Curve Saturation, etc.
Increase fatigue cycle life in mono leaf spring and implementation of B10.
This position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Must also have demonstrated ability with each of the following:
1) Developing control plans in a manufacturing environment; 2) Supervising and monitoring quality system ISO 9001:
2000; 3) Increasing life cycles and residual stresses in leaf springs; 4) Applying statistical process control to manufacturing processes (e.
g.
, control charts, gage R&R studies, etc.
); 5) Working in organizational culture that employs Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, or other lean manufacturing methodologies; and 6) Overseeing engineering processes of industrial manufacturing plant.
Will accept experience gained concurrently.
Must pass a background check and drug test before beginning employment.
5% domestic travel required for cross-training.
