My client is looking for a strong technical bookkeeper who understands full cycle accounting (AP, AR, bank/CC reconciliations, JE's, fixed assets) and understands how the numbers affect the income statement and balance sheet.
What we want:
1.
Great Attitude - We are looking for a strong individual that has a great attitude and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty and will do what it takes to ensure we have a good set of books that can easily be disseminated and handed off to our CPA.
2.
Strong Accounting skills - We are looking for someone who is currently a full-charge bookkeeper and knows how to close the books, perform reconciliations, run the AP and AR process, track progress billings and project profit and is familiar with GAAP principals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and departmental allocations; post to Quickbooks online.
Detect and resolve issues with AP, AR, Inventory, etc.
Conduct month-end and year-end closing process.
Be able to work with Purchase orders, progress billings and WIP.
Perform account reconciliations to maintain integrity of general ledger.
Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.
Perform and review variance accounting.
Provide support (and often leadership) in various ad-hoc projects and financial analysis.
Review and recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
Perform full-cycle accounts payable process, including receiving, coding invoices up to 50 invoices per day, process check requests, and weekly payment runs.
You will need these skills as our amazing Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration (Preferred) Bi-Lingual Spanish (Preferred) 3
years experience as a full-charge bookkeeper 2
years experience in construction and/or Plumbing service industry Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills 3
years experience in Quickbooks and/or QBO Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
